Un dia Vicious Magazine li va fer una entrevista a Tim Berglin "avicii"i va dir que avicii significava: el nivell més baix de l'infern budista.I a partir d'aquí es va fer dir avicii perquè li agradava aquest nom gràcies a un amic que un dia li va dir que significava aquell nom i li va agradar.
